How do I promote an app I built with AI (a vibe-coded app)?

The short answer
The same way as any app: find the people who have the problem, show them the result, and measure which place sent people who stayed. Building fast is a story worth telling, but lead with what the app does for the reader. Post in a few communities where your users already ask for help, tag every link, and double down on the one that brings signups.
Lead with the result, not the tool
“I built this in a weekend with AI” gets attention from other builders. It rarely gets users, because the people with the problem care about what the app does for them, not how it was made. Lead with the outcome (“See which of your posts brought paying customers”), and tell the build story where builders gather.
Where to post
- Where your users ask for help. Communities and forums about the problem, not about building. Answer questions there first; link when it truly helps.
- Where builders share work. Build-in-public threads, maker communities, launch sites. Good for feedback and a first wave of visitors; fewer of them will be your users.
- Your own network. People who know you are more likely to try it and tell you what’s wrong.
Pick three places, not twenty. You’ll learn more from three posts you can measure than from a scattered launch.
Make every post measurable
- Tag each link with its own UTM campaign, so you can tell the posts apart.
- Put a way to sign up on the page (a waitlist or a free account), so interest turns into a name you can reach.
- Look after a week: which post brought visits, which brought signups, which brought people who came back.
Things AI-built apps often miss
- Analytics and a signup from day one. Many builders ship without either, and a launch day that can’t be measured is wasted.
- Secret keys in the browser. Check that API secrets live on the server, not in frontend code, before you post.
- A way to collect feedback, so early users can tell you what’s broken.
With Nordva Launch
Paste Launch’s planning prompt into your AI builder and it plans the waitlist, the analytics script and feedback for your app before changing anything. The free plan covers the waitlist, analytics, a Stripe connection and 50 feedback messages a month; AI sorting of feedback starts on Indie. Every visit and signup keeps where it came from, so after launch you can see which post worked.
When Launch is the wrong tool
If your app is for yourself or a few friends, promotion isn't the goal; share it and enjoy it.
