Terms of Service
Effective 23 May 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of
the Nordva platform, including the website at nordva.dev,
the API at api.nordva.dev, the MCP server at
mcp.nordva.dev, embeddable widgets, dashboards, and any
related services (collectively, the “Service”). The
Service is operated by Nordva (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By creating an account, calling the API, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- Customer — the individual or entity that registers an account and uses the Service.
- End User — a third party who interacts with Customer’s product (e.g. submits feedback, signs up to a waitlist, or receives a notification through Customer’s Nordva-powered integration).
- Customer Data — content submitted to or stored in the Service by Customer or its End Users, including waitlist signups, feedback submissions, changelog entries, and notifications.
2. Accounts & API keys
You must provide accurate registration details and keep your API keys confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including API calls made with your keys. If you suspect a key has been compromised, rotate it immediately from the dashboard. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorised key use that you fail to report.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- send spam, unsolicited communications, or anything in violation of applicable anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, PECR);
- distribute malware, phishing content, illegal content, or content that infringes third-party rights;
- store sensitive categories of personal data (payment-card data, health records, government IDs, biometrics) — Nordva is not a PCI/HIPAA-compliant processor;
- reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the Service except as expressly permitted;
- attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or security controls, or use the Service to attack third parties;
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice, and may report unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities.
4. Plans, billing & refunds
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our payment processor (Clerk Billing, powered by Stripe). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period and the plan downgrades to Free.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If we materially change pricing, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance via email or in-product notice.
Free-plan accounts that remain inactive for 12 months may be archived; data will be exportable for 30 days before deletion.
5. Service availability
We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service on the Free plan. Paid plans receive best-effort priority during incidents. Scheduled maintenance will be announced where practical at status.nordva.dev. We are not liable for downtime caused by upstream providers (Cloudflare, Clerk, Stripe, Resend, Anthropic) or events beyond our reasonable control.
6. Customer Data & ownership
You retain all rights to Customer Data. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and transmit Customer Data solely to provide the Service, including running it through the AI classifier (Anthropic) and routing destinations you configure (Linear, GitHub, Slack, email).
We will not access Customer Data except to operate, maintain, secure, or improve the Service, comply with law, or with your explicit permission.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service, including all source code, designs, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by Nordva and protected by applicable laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in our intellectual property other than the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
8. Suspension & termination
You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account if (a) you breach these Terms, (b) your usage poses a security or legal risk, or (c) we are required to do so by law. On termination, we will delete Customer Data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for backup integrity.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI classifications will be accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nordva from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, (b) your Customer Data, or (c) your violation of any third-party right.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Norway, except where mandatory consumer-protection law grants you a different forum.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
